Optiplex 380, CPU upgrade
I have Dell 380optiplex Desktop with core2duo.I just want to upgrde a little by replacing the prcssr with Athlon 200ge VEGA3.I don't know much about CPUs so there is one prcssr with clip which i can change And there is another like processor permanently fixed by INTEL.Can i change to AMD while one thing is INTEL?
And how to know my PC wattage?

Hello S0ULZ_X,
The OptiPlex 380 has an LGA 775 socket while the Athlon 200ge uses an AM4 socket. They are 2 different socket types and are not compatible with each other. Below is a list of processors that have been tested with the OptiPlex 380.

The max processor for the 380 is Intel® Core™2 Quad Q9650 95w. 95w is when it's under a heavy load.

The Optiplex 380 is a Micro BTX format. There are basically no aftermarket or AMD motherboards in that format. Dell built the rear I/O into the case. That limits your options further.
With a heatpipe cooler, and cover from an Opti 780 it can run a Q9650 95W CPU.
Other options would be the E8600 2 core, or the Q9550s or Q9505s 65W 2 coreCPUs with the stock cooler.
It can support 2x4GB DDR3 1333/1066 RAM (runs at 1066 speed). Must be low density x64 (Crucial sells these).
An SSD will make it more responsive, but turn off Auto Defrag in System tools.
A fun mod is the old Q6600 BSEL tape mod on an E7500 CPU for 3.67 GHz 2 core (about 80W)
LGA771 Xeon X5470 120W has run in these. They sell modded/taped 771/775 Xeons for this. But a modded BIOS is needed also. 10% faster than the Q9650, 10% slower than the E7500 mod in single core games.
Zotac GTX1050 Mini 2GB fits, and work s well with 8GB RAM.
