Optiplex Printing Problem

Ever since I got this Optiplex 3020 whenever I try to print a page the last couple of inches of text get cut off. I don't think it's the printer because it shows it this way in the print preview. I tried called Dell support but they wanted to charge me to help.

Any suggestions? I'm using a Canon MG2520

It's the printer and the program you are using.

This is a very old printer and even cannon does not provide FREE support after 1 year.

Drivers for this model go back to 2002 and XP.

@speedstep

Thank you for your obvious reply.

That's why I directed the OP to post with the Canon Community instead of just informing them that Dell does not support Canon printers.

EDIT: Thank you for editing your reply to reflect the same.

should be posted to Canon forum not here,

on mY printer the software (HP  actual here x3) the printers setup has a setting called shrink to fit output)

learn to find this page in the none DELL CANNON printer setting and properties.

there are many causes, above is simple and basic but sure other problems

the  source document can be wrong, a wrong format for 8x11" paper,  endless sources are like that....

also selecting the wrong output format does that took, of the MANY.

So make sure the output paper size selects is for full sized sheet paper,

then click the auto shink to fit

and last print, If this fails you document needs editing,  and not stated, so I can not guess.

  1. Input too big.
  2. Output too small (sheet size)
  3. or both wrong.
  4. and not set to auto size or auto shrink
  5. or Canon software bugs, only canon can fix, never dell. we don't make canon printers
