Discovery not discovering??

Hi,

We wish to only use IPMI to discover our servers in Powercenter 3. i.e. we only want the discovery to run via the DRAC interface.
(This is what we use for OME and it works fine)

When the discovery range (xxx.yy.0.1 - xxx.yy.0.254) is put in, the task ran in under a minute and no devices are discovered. Credentials are fine.

Devices can be pinged fine.

The PowerCenter server (Windows 2012R2) is on the same VLAN as the OME server which has no issues discovering dracs.

When Logs are clicked, Nothing shows up.

I am stumped how to troubleshoot this problem.

Any ideas?

Thx,

John Bradshaw

Hi John,

Just to troubleshoot, Can you add a single server (instead of range select Single Device ) and use the same protocol? (Please make sure the IPMI over LAN is enabled in iDRAC)

You may try with Dell troubleshooting tool as well.

Still problem persist I suggest to open a trouble ticket with Dell support desk.

Thanks,

You can find the OMPC 3.0 port related information in Dell OpenManage Port Information Guide table 11 and 12.

Thanks,

Same problem.

Discovery apparently went fine but nothing show up.

OME is working but not power center which is installed on the same box.

All ports opened properly.

Tried WS-Man and HTTPS on only 1 iDRAC IP

Tried SSH on only 1 NIC IP

I'm lost :(

@Ullink System Prod

Unlike OME, OMPC use only IPMI protocol to communicate to Dell servers. Please make sure in iDRAC IPMI over LAN is enabled and the credentials you have provided at OMPC protocol section also correct.

Thanks,
