PowerEdge 1950 - Controller PERC 6/i - Failed Firmare Update
Hello Folks,
I'm trying to upgrade the firmware from version 6.1.1-0047 to 6.3.3-0002.
The Operation System is Windows Server 2008 R2 - Standard - x64
But the message below was displayed:
The Program cannot start or run due the incompatibility with 64-Bits versions of Windows.
I did the download for the correct version. ( By support.dell.com, the version is supported )
Do you have any idea to solve this issue?

Give these a try.

Also, what version is your OpenManage at?

The version you are updating to is the Firmware version for the Perc 6e, the 6/i is 6.3.1-0003.

Rafael,
Do you have a Perc 6/e in the server as well? Or just a Perc 6/i?
If you only have the Perc 6/i installed then the latest firmware is 6.3.1-0003.
The 6.3.3-0002 is the latest for the Perc 6/e, the external controller.
Let me know if you do have the 6/e and I will get the link for you.

I have the Perc 6/i.
But inside the Dell OpenManage i'm receiving the message below:
Firmware/Driver Information for Controller PERC 6/i Integrated
Firmware version is out of date.
Firmware Version 6.3.1-0003
Latest Available Firmware Version 6.3.3-0002
Is this correct?

I successfully did the upgrade.
Now I trying to update to 6.3.3-0002, is it possible?
The file SAS-RAID_Firmware_3H5G8_WN32_6.3.3-0002_X00 is for 32 Bits.
I didn't find the version of 64bits.
