The DD3300 is an appliance style and for sure there are small differences when it comes to a normal R740xd. The iDRAC looks a little bit different and the whole system setup cant compared to a normal poweredge. We have a DD3300 in the house.
The main question is if its possible to reconfigure the RAID of the server and whats happen if you reset iDRAC,BIOS to system defaults and can you apply the standard FW packages to it.
Note: Within the DD3300 a vSphere ESXi is running and the software runs as a VM.

You can configure raid on the DD3300, as stated on page 13 here.
