Error 571

Hi,

I have many servers (6450) With Raid10 configuration.

All the server return error 571 several times per day.

The Firmware of the Perc3 is 1610.

To fix this problem should I change the disk with error 571?

But i think I'll change all the disk...........

Thanks for your reply

Hi Joël,

The firmware on the Perc 3 is old and should be upgraded. This is the most likely cause of the error 571. You can also confirm the validity of the hard drives using these diagnostics:

Dell Elite Hard Drive Diagnostics, v. 5.2.0
Filename: D4935552.exe [767 KB]
http://support.dell.com/us/en/filelib/download/index.asp?fileid=R49355

The driver must be upgraded before the firmware. I will assume the Operating System is Win2000:

LSI, v.5.35.2, A07 - Windows 2000 Drivers
CERC ATA100/4CH, PERC 3/QC, 3/DC, 3/DCL, 3/SC, and 4/Di.
Filename: Perc3_W2K5352a.exe [55 KB]
http://support.dell.com/us/en/filelib/download/index.asp?fileid=R50519

DOS install firmware:
LSI Logic (AMI) PERC3/DCL, 3/DC, 3/QC, 3/SC, Firmware, v.1.74, A08
Filename: p3fw174a08.exe [809 KB]
