PE2950 has a 1229 LED code

Hi all,
I have a PE2950 that has won't boot and has an LED error code of 1229.

It's been rock solid for years up to this point.
I've found out this is a CPU # VCORE Regulator failure but that doesn't help me much.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've seen advice advising to re-seat the processor......yes?

Or is it likely that this server is kaput and destined for the landfill?

Thanks.

Such error may be triggered when the processor core voltage is not stable. What you can do is to clear the system event logs (SEL) and disconnect AC power cables for about 10 minutes. Power back the server and if the error persists, identify the processor and re-seat. I would also recommend that the BIOS and BMC firmware be updated.

Let me know how it goes.
