PowerEdge R410 power, BMC help
Aloha,
I have a customer server long out of warranty - building had power failure. Server has LEDs on motherboard illuminated and status/bezel is working, power switch does nothing. Configured BMC with DHCP OK, replies to pings, but cannot connect to BMC - do you need a specific application, or will browser puTTY work?
Already re-seated all cables, RAM, controller cards. Removed from power to re-set. Tried reset pin switch.
Trying to see if replacing power supply or motherboard would work, or if even either are available?
Any assistance welcome.

Hello
If you have not configured the BMC then you may not be able to connect over the network. You can view the feature list that shows the differences between the BMC, iDRAC express, and iDRAC enterprise in the iDRAC6 manual. There is a manual on the firmware 1.9 support page.

Your issue could be something as simple as a failed power button the control panel. Part swapping will probably be necessary to track down the problem.
