Intel DDIO. R320 - is it enabled?

Intel says that DDIO is enabled by default but I just want to know if it is supported in R320 G12.

If I buy R320 with E5-2420 and X540DP will I get direct cache IO with Intel DDIO using W2008R2 ?

Any other information on the subject will be appreciated too.

The Broadcom LOM or cards  will write straight through as well.   Per Intel, all I/O devices are supported.

Good morning.

Here is a link from Intel:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/io/direct-data-i-o.html

Intel Data Direct I/O Technology requires no industry enabling

Intel DDIO is enabled by default on all Intel Xeon processor E5 platforms. Intel DDIO has no hardware dependencies and is invisible to software, requiring no changes to drivers, operating systems, hypervisors, or applications. All I/O devices benefit from Intel DDIO, including Ethernet, InfiniBand*, Fibre Channel, and RAID.

The R320 will support it.

Regards,

Thank you Geoff.. Could you please elaborate - when you said all IO devices. Does that mean even Broadcom LOM will write straight to the CPU cache?
