You know that Server 2003 is not supported on the R420, right? That does not mean it won't work, but it is possible it will not. It just means that Dell will not help you install it, and they will not provide any necessary drivers. There may be devices that were never developed with the intention of being compatible with 2003.
It would probably be best to install 2003 as a virtual machine in Hyper-V or VMWare.
If you want to try, then we need to know what RAID controller you have?
As was previously mentioned server 2003 is not a validated OS and we have no official drivers for this system that work with the hardware. The embedded NIC on this system is a Broadcom 5720 and Broadcom does not support server 2003 with this NIC either. You may try an older version of the broadcom driver for 2003 but it is not validated and may or may not work properly.
Here is the last Broadcom driver that supports 2003.
Sorry to bother you but I have one software that only works on Windows 2003 Server Enterprise on 32 Bits. How you can able to install OS on Server R420?
Just know that installing 2003 directly onto a 12th generation server (420, 720, etc.) is NOT supported (meaning Dell does NOT provide drivers for it), so it may or may not work.
Main problem: Your RAID controller. There is NO 2003 driver for it. All you can do is try the XP driver for that controller from a Precision workstation:
Thanks for your help. The reason why i cant use a virtual machine Is because our software vendor don't have support over different structure like as they offer. Let me try with your sugestion..
Well, you have a dilemma then ... use a configuration unsupported by your software vendor or use a configuration unsupported by your hardware vendor... you may experience problems either way.
Hi - I have a Power Edge R420 and need drivers for the Perc Raid H310Mini for Windows 2003 Standard 32 Bit . I know Server 2003 Standard is not supported for this server but I need to have this installed.
Any drivers or any help you can provide I appreciate it.
Thank You very much for you help on this - I've been trying to get this working for a few days now and thanks to your help I'm up and running WIndows 2003 Server
I went with option 2 and I was able to see the drives and install Server 2003 perfect !!!
Just need to find the network drivers and a few drivers it didn't find. Thanks again

Even Broadcom does not have XP/2003 drivers for the R420's NIC.
You can try the XP driver for the Precision 490's 5721:
ftp.dell.com/.../R161008.EXE
Or you can try the 2003 driver for the PowerEdge R200's 5721:
ftp.dell.com/.../Bcom_LAN_16.2.1_W2K3_8_A02.exe

First, install VMware ESXi or Server 2008R2/2012 (or standalone Hyper-V).
Second, install 2003x86Ent as a virtual machine.
Installing directly to hardware depends on your configuration. Which RAID controller do you have? How many disks? How large are the disks?

Is there a good reason why you "need" or want to install directly to the hardware?

Why? Why can't you virtualize?
You can try XP drivers:
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=DV6JF&fileId=3285745595&osCode=WW1&productCode=precision-t7600&languageCode=EN&categoryId=SG
Or you can try the 2008x86 drivers (it has the textsetup.oem file):
http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER02416311M/2/SAS-RAID_Driver_W2K8X86_M62KG_6.802.21.0_A06_ZPE.exe
Or you can downgrade the controller to something unsupported but that supports non-modern OS's.
