Problem install ESXi 4.1 in PowerEdge R905
Hi,
I've purchase high end server with 4 processor and 128GB memory. I want to run virtual for this server. When i install ESXi, it said not support yet for this server. As i know ESXi already support 64bit.
Why i cannot install in my server? Any suggestion for this? Do Dell provide ESXi their own? When i check in dell web site, it's said optional support for ESXi. I assume i can direct install ESXi. Please assist me.
Cheers!

go to this link, then click Enterprise Solutions, then choose the ESXi you would like. These should work.

Per the VMware compatibility guide, the R905 should work just fine with 3.5 and later (but with some footnotes for the 3.x versions, but those don't affect you).
I don't think I've ever seen this cause this type of message during the install, but make sure to enable Virtualization Technology in the processor settings in the bios if you haven't already.
