Replication pair impossible

Hi,

I have 2 MD3800i each with one MD1220 attached. MD3800i has a RAID6 group, and MD1220 has another RAID6 group.

I already have 3 LUNS replicated well.

I recently created a LUN on a part of the free space left. When trying to create a replication pair from the MD3800i I would call VHD1, it tells that there's no referential, free space configured on the VHD2.

I tried to add the lun to an existing replication group, same problem. I tried from VHD2 to VHD1, same thing.

Did some defrag, no more results...

does someone has any suggestion ?

Regards.

Hello informatique22,

It sounds like there is not enough free space to store your replication.  You can create the VD which you have done but you also need space for the replication repositories.  If there is no space for the repositories’ then it will fail to replicate.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi, I had actually not sufficient left space, as you wrote. I needed 700GB free space to make replication effective. Thank You !
