[T5500] can't see no more the dell logo/bios

Hello,

I bought a Dell precision T5500 without HD. When first plugged to a first hdmi monitor, the dell logo when booting was visible and some tests could done (F5) without error.

However, when trying to get into the bios there was an error message:s-DSC05863.JPG

A ssd was finally installed on sata1 (after some trial on sata0) and a ubuntu system was installed. When booting from the ssd, an error message was still visible:s-DSC05870.JPG

but when pressing F1, the system boots:Capture du 2018-04-22 17-44-29.png

The problem now is that nor the Dell logo, nor the error messages are visible. The system boots blindly by pressing F1.

Hi Jeanpat,

In the setup/BIOS, go to Drives > Drives and make sure SATA 0 is unchecked. Then check in General > Boot Sequence and check that SATA 0 isn't listed, remove it if it is. Then System Logs > BIOS Events and clear the logs.

Let us know if that helps.

The tower was left unplugged. When powering the computer on, the Dell logo is back and it is possible to enter into the bios. However the computer doesn't boot automatically on the ssd, pressing F1 is required to let the system starts... weird.https://youtu.be/93yK37iDi3o
