@iddn  Service Tag has been addressed.  In terms of refresh rate, they definitely do NOT need to match if you're using displays in Extend mode because I've helped multiple people use high refresh rate displays with laptop displays that only support 60 Hz.  I'm not sure about Mirror mode refresh rate requirements though, since I don't have any displays with refresh rates above 60 Hz to test with.

Can someone here delete the service tag from the message? I can no longer edit the post.

One other thing is, does the refresh rate of the external monitor have to match the refresh rate of the built-in display?

@iddn  This is a long shot, but if there are options within the display's menu to disable G-Sync, have you done that?  If your 7750 only has an Intel GPU, you won't be able to use it there.  Or better yet, even though I realize you've successfully tested the display with another system, any chance you have any other display with a DisplayPort input to test with the 7750, just to eliminate the possibility of some strange interoperability issue with the specific combination of that system and display?

If that doesn't work, then it does seem like your mDP output isn't functional.  In that case, if you're not covered by the warranty to get it fixed easily, the best workaround is probably a USB-C to DisplayPort cable.  USB-C uses native DisplayPort signaling for video output anyway, and the 7750's USB-C ports support video output.

Lastly, you really shouldn't post your Service Tag on a public forum.  People can use them to file bogus ownership transfer claims against that system, which at a minimum can make it more difficult for you to prove ownership of your system if you submit a warranty claim, need help with a forgotten BIOS password, etc.
