Just stumbled upon your solution as our IT team has experienced this issue with 10+systems. I have uninstalled the expressconnect and hoping this resolves our Outlook/Teams disconnects. Thank you for the potential solution.

Give this Man a Medal. I have spent 3 months with several tickets with Dell And Microsoft But no luck.

Thank you Very Much. I am surprised why Dell still have not patched it even after 7 months of this solution. I had deployed 5 Brand new Dell Latitude 3420s in our company and all of them had this issue OOB.

Once again Thank you very much.

I'm glad that this resolved your issues as well as others.  We keep having the issue as well so I'm surprised that this has not been pulled.  Each time Dell Command update runs, we have to remove ExpressConnect.  Hopefully Dell/Intel come up with a fix.

Over the last month I ran into the same problem again.
Having already removed Express Connect from my computers, I find the issue is now generated by Google Chrome! I removed Google Chrome from the offending computers and the problem was solved.

Thank you for posting this info!  Having this issue with Latitude 7430s running Optimizer 3.1222.0.  Also had to uninstall it to get Outlook and Teams to stably connect.

We had this issue last year. I contacted our Dell rep late last year who passed it up the line directly to the people at Dell who developed the Optimizer application and i have been told they were actively investigating/working on the issue.

That is good news. I hope the developers can fix the issue in an upcoming release. Speaking of which, I just realized that a new version was released almost a month ago. I am testing 3.2.212.0 to see if the network optimization is still breaking Outlook. The release notes do not mention anything that suggest it has been fixed.

@DELL-Cares Has this problem been fixed? We were about to refresh a number of our laptops but if this problem is not resolved we will look elsewhere.

This is still popping up for us each time Dell Command update is run and the optimizer is installed. Actually, in some cases it installs the optimizer even if we removed it previously.  I have just been telling employees to remove it as it pops up. I haven't let it stop me from purchasing new Dell systems but it sure would be nice if this was fixed so we don't have to keep dealing with it.

I guess this isn't deemed important enough to push up the line in Dell's QA department to look into it.  We are coming up on one year of the original post.

This issue just popped up again on my box. Had been working fine since late last year as long as I make sure it's not reloaded during an update.

Express Connect has not be reloaded and no recent updates. Did it reoccur for anyone else? Outllok errors saying "trying to connect" and Teams throws a ca70004 error.
