M3800 Wifi not working
Hi everyone, i have a dell m3800 and have reloaded win10 on it and can't for the life of me get the wifi to detect/work. I have installed the drivers several times. Ran a driver update software on it, windows updates, etc and still can't get it to work. I have switched out the wifi card with two different cards and nothing works. I tried an Intel AX200 wifi 6 card, and an Intel AC 9260, and the stock DW1560. It loads the bluetooth side, but not the wifi side. Is there anything I can do to fix this? It was working at one point a while back, but not sure why its not working now. Thanks

Do you have Dell Quickset installed? There is a wireless enable/disable setting in that utility as described here. Also check your Fn+ key combination as I believe there may be a combo that turns WiFi on and off. And some have a switch on the side near the DVD drive.
If that does not work do any of the adapters show up in Device Manager?

Thanks for the reply. I just installed Quickset and am rebooting the system. Its installing updates as well. The Fn+ combo only turns on and off the Airplane mode. On my m3800, its Fn+PrtScr. When I got to network adapters, I see my USB ethernet adapter and Bluetooth. No matter what I do, I can't get wifi to work or detect. Usually it will show a Wifi adapter in Network Connections, but it doesn't. I've reinstalled the drivers several times, different versions, changed out the Wifi card itself, nothing works.I would assume the wifi card or the port might be bad, but I've tried 2 other brand new cards and neither worked. The bluetooth worked, but not wifi. I feel like there is something I'm missing, but no clue as to what that is. Thanks

Hi,
I also have this problem. But only at home (where i have wifi 6 router). On older routers at friends house, etc. the wifi detects and connect.. My guess is some compatibility problem, that I have not yet identified what..

Has anybody else seen this issue and figured out a solution for it yet? I have the same problem. I reactivated my M3800 after not using it for a couple of years and this is the only thing that doesn’t work. Exact same symptoms as OP, Bluetooth works but Wi-Fi is very Difficult. Connects for a moment, then disconnects, also only sees a couple of the networks around when it should see many because I am living in an apartment.

Use the updated Intel Drivers found in the solution here:
https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-7260-Driver-Update/m-p/1571741
Seems it was an intel driver bug, which didn't like WiFi 6
Worked for me on my M3800!
