@Dhr.Systeembeheerder I don't think Dell ever officially certified the Precision 5550 with the TB16 because the WD19TB replaced the TB16 and the WD19TB already existed by the time the Precision 5550 was released. It should be compatible, but for what it's worth, the TB16 generated far more than its fair share of complaints while it was Dell's current TB3 dock, revolving around connection stability, behavior when the system wakes up from sleep, overall functionality, etc. And ironically the TB16 was a replacement to an even earlier model called the TB15, which was so bad that Dell ended up having to recall all of them and replace them with TB16s, which turned out not to be great either. So what you're seeing might not necessarily be "TB16 with Precision 5550 problems" but rather just "TB16 problems". The WD19TB isn't generating nearly as many complaints as the TB16 did.
