Precision M3800 Not Turning On

Well, my M3800 now has this problem, although it has worked from new for 6-years.

The fact there is no closure on any of these threads is disappointing. There are dozens of discussions, many marked as community accepted solution but none with an accepted solution. It's not even clear if a new motherboard actually does solve the problem.

If you had this problem, was there actually a solution or did you just switch to a different computer?
