System boots, Windows 10 not (black screen) after RAM upgrade in Precision 5510
I've decided to upgrade my RAM from 16GB to 32GB so I bought the G.Skill one (F4-2400C16D-32GRS). It has the same type, voltage, and speed as the previous sticks (SO-DIMM, DDR4, 2400MHz, 1.2V). I also made sure that this laptop model can handle more RAM.
I unplugged a battery for ~10min, replaced RAM sticks, plugged the battery back, and then powered on. At first, there was a white screen "Alert! The amount of system memory has changed" with the button "Continue" and "Open BIOS". I opened BIOS (which was the Dell UEFI menu in fact) and there was nothing more to do than just checking if the system sees a new memory correctly and everything seemed ok there so I left this menu.
The laptop started to boot, it showed the Dell logo, then the Windows 10 login screen and the screen goes all black. I tried switching and re-installing the RAM sticks over and over but with no result.
Everything goes back to normal if I switch to the old RAM. What could be a reason that it won't run with the new one?

It turned out that this Dell series don't support G.Skill ram sticks. I've ordered new ones made by Crucial and it worked perfectly!

Run diagnostics f/n and pwr button at sametime, if tests run when color bars are displayed
hit n on kyb it will generate an error because u pressed n. You should see solid colors WRGB / if they display with no lines or distortion
your lcd itself is ok. hit y to continue testing, write down any errors, even if u have no display, diagnostics will run , system will give beeps codes on errorsystem
count beeps continue testing. If all test pass, hard reset lapot, remove battery, unplug adapter, hold owr button down for 30s reconnect adapter and battery
pwr on system, update system software, under utilities on Dell drivers , chipset/ video and bios in that ordered .support.dell.com

It was 15 beeps after pressing (n). All colors were displayed correctly.
Then it was an alert about the battery lifetime, then about charger detect (it was unplugged). And after a few minutes the screen started snowing. I've waited for a longer while assuming the test is still running. But there was no indication even after ~15 minutes, still snowing.
So I shut down the laptop, unplugged adapter, removed the battery, held power button for at least 30 seconds, then connected everything back and power on the laptop. But still the farthest I can reach without the black screen is to the windows login screen.
I removed one stick, so there was only one in Dimm A socket. Then booted up the laptop, downloaded and installed all the drivers I could find for this model. I also did a windows update. Turned off the laptop again, removed the battery and left it for about ~10 min, then held down the power button for 30 sec again, placed the second ram stick in Dimm B socke, connected the battery and powered on. Pressed F2 to get into UEFI, checked if system sees both sticks and continued booting. Then I saw a blue screen of Automatic Repair and pressed Restart. I logged with a success this time but the system was extremely laggy and unstable.
This is a video of what's happening: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LPgc6_WcApKXB1sxdxusEvg76rMlWwYz/view?usp=drivesdk
I have no idea what could I do yet.

I've seen the messages and have had the same issue with no bios screen or black screen after making changes to the bios in a Precision workstation both 5610 and 5810 and others. One time it was after doing a bios reset on a previously working machine only to get a black screen with nothing. I tried removing the bios battery and also putting a jumper on the reset. Starting and stopping the power pressing the power button and holding it and control and escape buttons to no end. Still no screen. Even tried putting in an old pci video card in the pci slot still nothing. I was convinced it was a motherboard failure. Finally out of frustration after trying server video cards I put in and nvidia powered video card and shazamm there was a bios screen. I'd read in other places that the system wasn't putting out the video for some reason and that's why no bios.
If you've tried everything else try a different powered video card and see if you don't get the bios screen again. After I got into the bios and set everything and did a clean install I was able to put another non powered video card in and everything worked as before.
