I've done this with an 7720 before, but i needed not only the display but also a specific cable from display to graphics card. Which was included in the display. As far as i read before, you won't be able to disassemble the displayframe to swap just the display, you would need a complete set of Display, bezel etc. in order to swap it as a whole unit.
i haven't figured it out myself, although i would also be interested to do this upgrade, but my system is under service contract into 2026, and doing it before, wold void the warranty, i think.
