You can go to this page and after signing in can download the newest WIP version. There are instructions on the page for creating a bootable USB flash drive, unless of course you already have it on flash drive.
As for the updates the page at Crucial has compatible hardware. According to their page since you have a quad core CPU you can upgrade to 16 GB of RAM and install an SSD up to 2 TB in size. That page is here.

I cant get my M4500 to accept the Crucial MX500 SSD. It keeps calling it a HDD.
Would you know how to solve this.. Please
