A-940 multiple copies
I use XP on an Inspiron 2650, and an A-940. I had problems with paper feeds, Avery label tangles and all. I am on my third A-940 in a couple of weeks. I have now learned of some of the quirks of these beasts and I suppose this one is as good as they get, but . . .
Every time, it seems, when I plug in another printer the print program lists the original A-940, and an A-940 (Copy 1), and an A-940 (Copy 2).
To eliminate this redundancy I tried the Remove Programs and then reinstalled the driver from the CD. Seems like every time I plug in the same printer another Copy shows up and if the right printer isn't selected I get a prompt that the printer isn't there.
Anyone experience this? How do I get of the multiple listing and only have one?
And, when I select the print icon from the task bar in Word it is identified by the old HP-720C which I no longer use. How do I get rid of that, too, please?
Looking for help from all you wonderful helpers,
Carleff

Carleff,
Thank you for visiting the Dell Community Forum.
Try going to Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes and then delete the icons for the printers you don’t want.
