Dell 5100cn Developer replacement

I replaced the developer units in one machine with the developer units from a junked machine with very few prints on it compared to the one I needed the developer units for.

Can you reset the counters for the developing assemblies?  If so, how?  Is there a service mode?

Thanks,

Printdoctor

You sent me a message earlier..... I think I replied to the wrong person. Anyway, if resetting to factory defaults don't do the job, I'm not aware of how to reset these.

Do you need instructions on resetting to F/D?

Sure, I'll take any info you can give me on these machines.  You don't have a Serv manual do you?  I've got several hundred on many different brands, If you need something, I'll be glad to share.

This factory default reset procedure works with most of the Dell Color lasers:

1. Turn the printer off
2. Press and hold the Menu + Left + Right at the same time; power on the printer.
3. Continue to hold the buttons until the display indicates release "Diagnosing....", then release
4. When prompted for Password(PW), Up, Up, and Enter.
5. Press the Down (or Up) arrow button to "Installation Set"; press Enter.
6. Press the Down (or Up) arrow button to "NVM Init";  Press Enter.
7. Press Enter when prompted “OK?”.
8. Power the printer off, wait 5 secs, power on.
