Dell v505 All-In-One Red Printer

Had a small piece of plastic break off on the back side of the lid, must be to show that the lid is closed.  Becasue now I can not print any documents because it says the lid is open even though the lid is closed.

Would it be cheaper to buy another printer or find a repair shop to replace the small plastic piece?

Hi JT1958,

It appears that the printer is unable to detect the lid as 'closed', due to the broken plastic piece.

This part of the printer is not a replaceable unit; you may want to consider replacing the printer. You may also want to explore if a work around is possible with a local technician.
