Dell v525W firmware upgrade issue

Hi,

I was trying to upgrade the firmware of my "Dell v525W" printer using "Dell Firmware upgrade" utility. After few seconds during the upgrade process, it got hanged and printer got restarted.

Problem: After restart, nothing is appearing on LCD screen on printer. Power button shows green light. LCD screen shows "energy" symbol for some seconds and then disappear and nothing else after that and printer is not usable or detectable at all.

Seems firmware got corrupted.

Any help?

The upgrade was happening wireless.

Even after doing that, nothing is happening. Printer LCD is totally is blank.

balrajo,

When you did ther firmware update, did you have the printer usb cable connected or wireless?

Unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick for 30 seconds. This should reset any error messages the printer is getting.

Does the printer power on by itself?

balrajo,

Did you try removing the power brick for 30 seconds, like I suggested?

balrajo,

Did you just purchase this printer?

Is the printer under warranty?

I am now having the same issue. Could you please advise as to what the issue can be. I have attempted all of the above suggestions and nothing is working. My system is only about 2 years old.
