Mac drivers for Dell Color Lazer 5110cn

I have been using the Lexmark 322n driver to print to a Dell 1700n, is there an equivelant driver to print to the Dell Color Lazer 5110cn?

Thanks

The 5110cn's drivers were just released on 7/25/06. Check out the drivers section again and you will find them.

Thanks Much,

Downloaded and installed the drivers. Added an IP printer using LPD and it worked! Usually I use IP printing but forgot to change it. If it works, leave it alone.

Thanks again

Jim

FYI: I believe that the printer will support Apple's Bonjour networking protocol with the addition of the multi-protocol board Dell offers as an option.

Glad you got it working!

Dell has recently changed their format of the Driver and Downloads page. Once you have the product selected you will need to change the OS (the 3rd line from the top). Once you do that you'll be able to find the driver. Here's the link.

Do you know where the Mac OS drivers have gone? I cannot seem to find them anywhere. Go to 5110cn and you only find window drivers. If you could past the link, it would be helpful. Thanks

the drivers listed under mac os (for the dell 5110cn) are NOT mac drivers. the file that gets downloaded (which is big at 218mb) conttains only Windows software (.ini, exe, .cab files)
the file that gets selected after preferencing the mac os is R130087.exe
please send me a link to the proper software for MAC OS version x (ppc)

From Macworld hints:

Delete your old Dell printer in the Print & Fax System Preferences panel. Install a new printer, but select the Mac-installed Samsung CLP-770 Series PS, and presto! You are back in business, complete with duplex printing and toner supply levels. Sweet!

I found you could just add an additional 5110 printer. It will try to revert to the generic drive before you select ADD but just reselect it and it will stick.

Hi All,

I have working drivers for Mac 10.10.x or higher as a pkg installer.

Cheers,

Mike
