c2660dn printer - won't print

I have had this c2660dn for about a year with no problems. It's connected to my desktop via Ethernet cable. Yesterday it would not print job showed in que but no print. Turned printer off, checked connections with Ethernet and then turned back on and it printed. Today same problem. I installed a new ethernet cable and it printed. Half an hour later  back to no print. Ran trouble shoot and it said to turn my printer on. It's turned on. Any ideas?

When it does not print, can you look and see if the printer shows offline under devices and printers in the control panel?

Thanks UncleSmash. It did show up as offline. What I did was installed the printers and then connected with USB rather than internet. Everything seems to be working now.

If you do put it back on Ethernet. Disable SNMP in the driver and it should print regardless if the printer shows offline.

I am having a similar printer problem.  Where would I find this SNMP setting for Windows 10?

The computer is turning off the wireless adapter to save power.
The Firewall / antivirus software is causing the communication error.
Network information is missing in the printer settings / incorrect i.p address.
