No Activation info Provided for Office License

I purchased a new DELL PC (XPS tower) at the beginning of Sept with a license for MS Office Home and Business 2016. It came inactivated and with no information for activation. Tech support has not been helpful, apparently following a script assuming that my Office license should have been associated with my Microsoft Account and to follow that activation procedure. The problem is that DELL does not get my MSA info during the order process so there is no way it can be associated with the license. Just to be sure, I tried my MSA, on the off chance they magically looked it up from my other information. No luck, it recognizes it as a valid MSA (no surprise since I use it every day) but says no licenses are associated (again, no surprise, but might as well check.)
