Office 2003 not genuine
MS office 2003 was preinstalled by dell when purchased pc years ago. Now MS says not genuine. The support report shows this:
114 Blocked VLK2
which means it is counterfiet. The key code is 73931-640-0000106-57507
Please help me fix this. I don't want to purchase a new office suite. I will be replacing this computer within a year.

essentially, it means that the key was reported to Microsoft as being compromised

Look for the disk you received for Office. Dell did not install Office unless you ordered it and paid extra and they sent a disk. If you did not receive a disk, you do not have a valid license. You probably had a trial version of Office that has expired. The code you have listed is the product ID, not the Activation Code . That's a 25 character alpha-numeric code that is on the packaging for the disk.
