IT as a Service Expert Level Exam Pre-requisite

Hi All,

I have recently completed E20-517 Symmetrix solutions and E20-026 Enterprise storage networking for DC Architect specialist level exam. Can I directly go for IT as a Service Expert level exam without completing Cloud Architect specialist level exam.

Thanks

I am not sure, but here is a link to the certification framework.

Also, you should know that they are retiring the specialist level E20-018 and Expert level

e20-918 exams on January 21st.  If you complete them, they will not expire, but it you plan on taking the expert exam after January 21st, you will need to retake the new specialist exam.

The EMC Proven program is designed as a role-based program to provide individuals with the skills and training they need to perform a role. Within each role it is possible to build upon previously earned certifications by moving through our Associate, Specialist and Expert certifications.

In general, expert certifications require the candidate to have earned the associated specialist level certification. In this particular example, the E20-018 reflects our current VDC exam and E20-918 reflects our current It-as-a-Service exam. The certification associated with the E20-918 does require candidates to pass that exam and hold the Cloud Architect, Virtualized Infrastructure Specialist Version 1.0 certification.

As Joseph correctly points out though - thank you Joseph! - these exams are retiring in January 2016. We highly recommend reviewing this thread if you are considering the Cloud Architect track in the next 4-6 weeks.

Good luck!
