PER740 and 740XD unable to detect the NVIDIA V100

Hi,

We would like to request a support.. We have recently purchased the NVIDIA  TESLA v100 to be installed on PER740. unfortunately we wouldn't be able to make it online, from windows device manager it is not showing, also from the idrac 9 window - overview - accelerators it is also not showing.. Latest nvidia tesla driver for windows server 2019 has been installed already. We have also check the power requirements - power supply of the machine are 2 * 1100w and set to no-redundant mode.. Also we connected the power cable of the nvidia tesla v100 to RSR2 225w for additional power still the same. Anyone who encountered this issue? Please kindly share and advice us on any possible workaround

Thank you in advance.

Br,

Tony

Hello,

If iDRAC isn't listing it in the hardware inventory, the card isn't detected by the mainboard. If you already have the GPU enablement kit install in the server, and still the server does not detect the drive, I suggest for you to call hardware support to open a ticket to check if it's a mainboard issue. Also, just a suggestion that to make sure the GPU works on other system if possible.

Here's the user guide for GPU installation for R740: https://dell.to/2UlIXhP page 100. The enablement part kit number should be 490-BEIX.
