Thanks Chris, I did read through these, however I still couldn't find the answers I was looking for, which was.. "at what temperature will the servers start alerting and at what temperature will the servers start a thermal shut down?" the closest I can find is shutting down at 47c..

I know there are many factors but is there a known temperature?

Due to multiple variables that is the most specific information available. If you are concerned about the thresholds for alerts and shut down you can use OpenManage and actually set the threshold for alerts yourself, if your concern is around being notified.

yes, quite happy with OME, just wanted to know what the default (out of the factory)  is on the servers.
