BCSD on Win 8.1
Hi there,
Anyone got BCSD working on Windows 8.1, I know it isn't officially supported but I don't have a 8.0 or 7 available to install it on.
If you have please share how you did it.

Right-click on the executable and select two options: Run as Administrator and Run in Windows 7 compatibility mode. Worked for me and I'm running 8.1

Tried that but it bombed out when I started it, I'm resorted to installing it on a Win7 VM which isn't ideal.

Hi Ed,
If you can send me a screenshot of the error message and the BCSD log then I can take a look for you. Did you use switch on compatibility mode and run as Administrator?

Run java -version by navigating to the jre/bin directory through cmd.

Can you check if you have JRE 8 installed. I would try using JRE 7 and make sure it's in the PATH environment variable.

Yes I am running JRE 8, not sure how to switch to JRE 7.
