RecoverPoint for VM - vCenter plugin role privileges

Anyone know if there is any concept of vCenter role in the RP4VM plugin that can be created or granted to give a set of users capability to operate RP4VM without making them full vCenter Administrators ?

Hello Snowyx5,

I am not seeing anyway to do accomplish what you are trying to do.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

We have an option in RPVM 5.2.2 and later which restricts the plugin from connecting to any RPVM cluster if the user accessing it does not have the system.read privilege.

Reach out to me off-list for more info.

Regards,

Idan

I have read only access to our production vCenter on day to day basis, if I want to make a change I need to draw an Admin account. What I am seeing is RP4VM doesn't honour vCenter roles/permissions. My read only vCenter account appears to have full permissions to perform operations via the Plugin. This is problematical.
