SRM to a named bookmark
Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this but I thought I'd start here. Is it possible, with the RP SRA, to run a recovery and have guests with RDMs rollback to a named bookmark? It's an SRM 6.0 site, with RP 4.1, RP SRA 2.2.0.3 and EMC SIS 6.9.1.40.

Not without the RP VSI installed.

The latest version of VSI for RP is 5.6 and it doesn't mention that it's compatible with vSphere or SRM 6.0. Is there one for 6?

The latest VSI for RP management is 6.9.2 which supports vCenter/SRM 6.0.
See more in the VSI ESSM:

Hope that helps,

It's because it's under VSI for vSphere Web Client:

That does, thanks Idan. When I went into Downloads, put in VSI for RP Management, I didn't see any version 6 available. I better get my glasses checked

Hi Idan,
I'm not seeing 6.9.2 VSI for RP Management. All I get is 5.5 and 5.6.

The only way you can select any PiT snapshot from the journal in conjunction with SRM is by using the RP VSI. This facilitates the selection and prevents SRM from having to generate it's own bookmark.

If you chose to rollback the RDM only after the SRM failover to a PiT of your choosing, that would be possible, but a manual effort outside of SRM at that point.

Thanks echolaughmk. I'll make that part of the procedure.

Is there a way to roll back to a named book mark for an RDM that's in it's own consistency group? For instance, I have a VM in one CG but it has an RDM that is in a separate CG. There are application consistent bookmarks that are made on that RDM. What I'd like to do is be able to bring the VM up and rollback to that PiT on the RDM.
