RM Admin guide,san policy windows 2008

Hi

  I need some help i am using RM for first time have very little back ground, only RM foundation.

  My IS infrastructure  environment has.Oracle RAC 10g. i want to implement Replication Solution with Replication Manager..

Oracle RAC installation instruction has following step for storage configuration

Diskpart> automount enable

And Replication Manager Admin guide Page 89. has instruction

DISKPART>san policy=offlineshared

I believe it is as good as disable automount, or am i missing something.

Guide do not mention we have to perform this operation at  RM agent.

Can any one help me with some links or information for better understaing of Replication manager or oracle and RM
