Recoverpoint v3.5 SP1 and CDP
I just installed RP v3.5 SP1 using Deployment Manager v1.1. It requires that another IP address for the Private IPv4 Network be set and its seems to be for eth0. What traffic will be flowing via eth0? Should data flow using the HBA fiber channel ports?

I got it from the "EMC RecoverPoint Glossary of Terms" guide.
Not sure about the crossover cable. I don't see why not but I'm not certain.

This is CDP only and not CRR at this time. So, I'm wondering why its requiring a Private Network IP. In case we decide to do CRR in the future, what's the proper configuration to save headaches in the future?

Each RPA will require two IPs: management and WAN. In addition to that each RP site will require a VIP (virtual IP) that is used for management as well. The RPAs are set up as a cluster and thus a VIP.
Does that answer your questions?

Thanks. What document is this screen capture from? Can we use a cross over cable to save a port on the switch?
