SAP Livecache
Hello Team - I have a customer that is asking for best practices around Storage for SAP LiveCache. From what I am reading LiveCache is a MAXDB feature so I am treating this as a typical OLTP application and giving a 80% Read and 20% Write ratio. What would you recommend. I will be more than glad to be corrected!!!!

Livecache looks like it's primarily for Supply Chain management and APO applications. After a bit of searching I've confirmed your assessment that it's like MAXDB. In fact, SAP indicates that the code is almost identical. That being said, I think the recommendations provided at http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/MaxDB/MaxDB+IO+Setup are probably a good rule of thumb. In fact, all of the information on ttp://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/MaxDB/Database+Configuration would be a good start on a design. The second on Volume configuration is particularly relevant to us.
