Difference between simulation mode and real mode for restore.
Hello every body,
in ExmailXtender for Domino, version 4.81, we have a big difference between the simulation mode and the real restore.
For one database, in simulation mode, we have:
Total Msg Processed: 1298 Size (MB): 45
Matched: 1298 Size (MB): 45
Archived: 0 Size (MB): 0
Duplicates: 0
Shortcut: 1298 Size (MB): 45
Deleted: 0 Size (MB): 0
Really, we have:
Total Msg Processed: 1384 Size (MB): 635
Matched: 1384 Size (MB): 588
Archived: 0 Size (MB): 0
Duplicates: 0
Shortcut: 1384 Size (MB): 588
Deleted: 0 Size (MB): 0
How can explain this difference ?
And how do I know the actual size of mail database ?
Thank you for responses.

Greetings,
Unless we look at the logs with message level details enabled and EmailXtract configuration, it is hard for us to explain. The only other thing comes to mind is a bug that I know existed in code long some releases back.
If you would like the explanation, easier path is to engage EMC EmailXtender support by opening support ticket. You can try Chat option as well but it will depend how long it will be needed to resolve your issue. If engineer in Chat finds out they need to do thorough research then they will open service request for you.
Regards,
Rajan
