Blue Screen STOP:0x0000007B Error

Question

Hi ,   I am owning a Dell Inspiron 510m  with Win XP home edition since past one year and it has just come out of the standard 1 year warranty.   I used the Power button on one occasion to swtich off  my laptop, and when I turned it on back again, all short cuts were not working ( including those of Stadard Windows programs).In order to solve the problem , I tried to restore the previous settings using a registry back up on my laptop.   Since then , it has been failing to boot ( even in safe mode ) and gives me the following blue screen error :   A problem has been detected and windows has been shut don to prevent damage to your computer.If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen , restart your computer.If this screen appears again,follow these steps : Check for viruses on your computer.Remove any newly installed hard drive controllers.Check your hard drive to mae sure it is properly configured and terminated.Run CHKDSK /F for hard drive corruption , and then restart your computer. Technical Information : ***STOP:0x0000007B (0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)   It seems the registry information hs been corrupted.I have no problems reinstalling everything again, but I dont want to lose my data.Could anyone please suggest me a solution for this problem. Try booting in Safe Mode (F8 at startup). If you can get in, back up your data. Then restart, press F12 and run the extended Dell diagnostics on the hard drive.

Thanks but as already mentioned, it does not boot in the safe mode.DELL diagnostics did not give me any errors.

Which diagnostics did you run? The quick 10-minute test, or the surface test of the drive (takes about 1.5-2 hours)?
