Boot up problems

Question

I went to be dlast night and left my computer on.  I woke up to find over a dozen error boxes.  I shut the down the computer and cannot restart it.   I tried safe mode and than system restore but it said I do not have privleges but I was using the system administrator log in.  It just keeps shuting down and restarting and an erro message which says devdel32.exe (cannot remember the exact message because) I am at work and cannot use my computer at home becaus eit doe snot start up.   Any ideas would be gretaly appreciated   Thanks

Oh sorry i am flustered today   I have a dimension 4400 running windows XP with almost all if not all updates

Sounds like you need to run system restore, but since you cannot start your system, you'll need to run it from the command prompt. First, start your system and go immediately into system setup, and set your CD-ROM as the first boot device.

Then insert you XP Reinstallation disc, restart your computer, and follow these instructions:
