Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
The only way to fix this problem is to replace the motherboard.
Contact Dell Support as soon as you can to get the motherboard replaced.

I have the same problem, but when I clicked on the link for the other thread it didn't exist. When you say the only solution is to replace the motherboard, is this on my Inspiron 8500 or my port replicator?

I seem to be having the same problem as you have described in the forum posting referenced in this message.  I have tried to work with technical support to no avail and all other postings that I have found that describe this problem I seem to be unable to access.  Can you please help or provide any further detail into this problem?
