Hi Jam,
If you are speaking about CD media, then there is no "+" only CD-R and CD-RW media.
If you are talikng about DVD media, then there is "+/-" media. For information on these, click on the CD/RW gif in my post and scroll to Section 7-1. There you will find useful links on the subject.

Best Regards

Hi Jam,
There is no CD+R media, only CD-R and yes, please do use the CD-R discs for all you audio CD`s and important data, files, pictures, taxes, etc... things you want to keep / store. In bulk, the CD-R media I dare say is 10 cents a pop, use CD/RW for testing, storing everyday work, something you know you may be working on but not yet made the final copy, finished project, then burn this to a CD-R disc for a more permanant / safe backup.
Basically the same holds true for DVD+R media as far burning / testing / storing, move your final project to the R media instead of RW.

Best Regards

Thanks again. I am a neophyte. I burned my trip pictures to CD-RW and they sometimes work on the TV DVD. However, i am unable to have the photos from the DVD+rw work on the the TV.  Am i missing something? I thought that DVD was the way to go for TV Apps. Am using jpg formats

Hi Jam,

A lot depends on your TV DVD player, the format it supports, you may not be doing nothing wrong, the drive simply may not support reading DVD+RW media. Check the vendor`s web site of your DVD player, also if the disc will play on your PC, then the "burn" should be fine. You might try burning the images to a DVD+R disc and see if this will play on the DVD player.

Best Regards
