CD-Rom won't/can't read discs??
I have a Dimension 4600. The CD drive I'm having problems with is the "Lite on LTN486s"
The drive is present in My Computer but won't recognise any discs. I've uninstalled the drivers for the drive and also the Primary IDE. I've been trolling this forom all day trying a bunch of fixes, nothing helps.
The reason I noticed the issue is because I was trying to copy a disc. The CD-Rom light goes on but nothing comes up. Any ideas?

Hi Hpigott,
On the left of this page, click on the Drivers & Downloads link; enter information for your system; then scroll to Removable Media Storage Devices. See if the Dell firmware for the Lite-on CD-ROM will help.
