CD player not recognizing cd's, not recognized by computer

Did you get it resolved!!!! If not please try the following steps.

 

1. Take out the drive and put it back in the slot.

 You can check in the following link on how to take out the drive in 6000 Inspiron :

After that is done, restart the system.

 

If the drive is still not there in My computer or is there but not reading the cds and dvds still, then downlaod the following guide from microsoft  which will automatically correct the issue:

The issue shoudl be fixed after this.
