Oh, I beg your pardon. Not ANY disc, only burned disc are not recognized now. All the "original disc" such as a program disc I got from my labeling program works. My drive still detects stuff, just not my burned discs. Not CDR, not CDRW!!
Oh yeah, also as a result of not being to read any CDR and CDRW, now my drive basically can't burn as well. I am totally stomped. I cannot read any burned CD, and I cannot free up my laptop space by burning them onto anything. ANY help would be appreciated!!!
Hi, i jus read all ur messeges and i know EXACTLY how you feel, one day u wake up and you find ur driver has compleatly crashed! the light blinks, it makes funny noises and the disc spins for about 2 senonds! Im askin suport and im tryin to get somone over, if ur warrenty isnt up yet u should to, even if it is up u should anway! Jus wanted to let u know ur not goin crazy on ur own lol
None of the advices helped... It's the logical procedures they sent you though... I mean, they are helping me over the internet... So they want us to try eveyrthing first, so not to waste any resources.
yeah best thing to do, but they always jus give u troubleshooters! does all the stuff i described happen to u? i always have to use a paperclip to get the drive open!
Just got new Inspiron 8600 ... you put in a CD it runs fine, take it out, put in another CD and system freezes. Followed by d: dissapearing. You reboot the system or take out the battery and drive comes back. But you only get the one time use.
yeah, im contactin suport and they are sayin stuff like take the drive out and test others am im jus like i dont have a clue how to take it out! GET SOMONE DOWN HERE!!!!!!!
