CRC ERROR when installing dvd software

Hi i've a brand new XPS 600. My problem is that when i tried to install a game or a program from my dvd to the hard drive i had a CRC error.

As an example when i tried to install Tomb raider legend setup begin and then i had a crc error when installing.

My DVD Model is:

PD372 ASSEMBLY, DVD+/-RW, 16X, IDE (INTEGRATED DRIVE ELECTRONICS), HITACHI LG DATA STORAGE, CHASSIS 2001

Please help

That means your DVD drive is bad. It's unable to properly read discs and spazes out.

Hi Betrand,

If per chance you have Sonic`s DLA installed, consider disabling it for now. Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 13-0, article 12.
If the above does not help, please contact Dell.
