Can't enable write caching on the disk !!!

Hi everyone,
I have a Vostro 1400 notebook, with Fujitsu HDD on SATA interface.
My problem is: in Device Manager->Disk drives->Fujitsu right click-> Properties->Policies the "enable write caching on the disk" is not enabled. When I try to enable it, it appeares active "enable advanced performance", I enable that too, then I press OK. So far so good. But when I repeat those steps, exactly the same: write caching is disabled and advanced performace too.
What to do to enable those?
Thanks in advance.
Have a nice day.

PS: I use Vista Business, all updates for OS and for drivers (from dell.com)

I found this link Googling these terms: "enable write caching on the disk" SATA unable

It seems right on, as I believe you have an Intel chipset on your board.

This link also came up, to an thread where they discuss this:

It's obviously the driver/hardware/firmware not supporting the feature.  They seem to have exhausted many possible solutions.  Try reading them if you want to test them out.
