Cannot load windows/computer cannot see hard disk...

I'm having problems loading windows. I have a Dimension 8200 running BIOS Revision A03. I continue to get a 'strike F1 to reboot or F2 to enter setup' error. I've tried to re-install windows using the reinstallation disk but on the final options screen after installing the drivers (1) Set up Windows XP 2) Create a partition 3) Delete selected partition), the computer shows a message that it cannot access the hard disk. On attempting to reload, I get the blue error screen with the following technical info showing that the problem is with setuppdd.sys
