Crucial M500 SSD
Installed a Crucial M500 240GB SSD in a OptiPlex 780 running windows 7 32bit. Install was via Acronis cloning of HDD. Everything works, except when I go to open a new program that is downloaded, the machine will not let me open or save; it freezes. I have run every Dell test and they all pass. When I go to troubleshooting, I get error code 0x8E5E0247. If I reinstall the HDD everything works. Any help would be appreciated. Acronis says it is a windows problem not theirs.

Hi Trident13,
This is why we generally recommend a clean installation of the OS onto an SSD. But the first thing I would try is to uninstall the Intel RST and install a newer version.
